Our People
As a law firm that prides itself in having a grasp at both the legal and the business environments in our country, we draw our people from both the legal and business environments. We ensure that we always have someone who is at the melting pot of business and fully appreciates developments in business. Our professionals are at the forefront of the developments in, particularly, commercial law and constantly provide invaluable input to the direction taken by commercial law in our country.
The firm was started by Schalk van der Merwe in 1979. Schalk was joined by Geoff Ferreira in 1981. Schalk and Geoff were joined by Jan van Wyk in 1992. Sipho Mseleku joined them in January 2006, and Fani Dingiswayo completing the current partnership in September 2006. As demonstrated by this development, VFV MSELEKU has committed itself to rapid growth in order to become a truly South African firm of attorneys and to provide a more comprehensive service to our clients.
